I haven't been able to post anything lately due to my scanner giving me problems (its gone for repairs so hopefully it will get fixed)
But yesterday I went to go see Age Of Ultron!!!! I was super excited and decided to write a review!!!

Let me start off by saying this film was incredibly good! It was a fitting sequel however there were a few problems I had which I will get to!

The film starts off action packed with the Avengers trying to retrieve Loki's sceptre (Loki doesn't appear in this film which is actually a relief XD ) We are introduced to two of my favourite new characters in this film, Pietro and Wanda Maximoff (Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch) I thought the actors were really good in the roles however their European accents weren't so great as I kept on hearing their American and British accents creep in. In this film they are experiments as opposed to mutants and no mention of Magneto as their father, as those rights belong to Fox, but it didn't affect the story at all. As for powers Quicksilvers effects were cool but nothing near as awesome as Quicksilver in Days Of Future Past!! Wanda sort of has different powers from her ones in the comics, mainly she has telekinetic abilities and can get into peoples minds and cast all sort of illusions. I think Scarlet Witch was definitely the new stand out character!

The Avengers are able to get the sceptre and Tony Stark and Bruce Banner use the infinity gem inside the sceptre to complete Starks global defense program "Ultron". Ultron ends up eliminating J.A.R.V.I.S (Iron Mans AI) and uses the body of one of the Iron Man suits to interrupt a party the Avengers are having. Ultron is a brilliant villain!! You can sense the naivety and childlike aspect to the character. However at times he came of as a bit to comical. I also disliked the way his mouth moved when he talked... I didn't think the metal should of bent like it did.

There was a funny scene with all the Avengers trying to pick up Thors hammer , only Captain America was able to make it move, and Black Widow refused to even try, which is ironic cause in the comics she was worthy enough to wield his hammer XD

Ultron travels to South African shipping yards to get Vibranium to make an indestructible new body from Ulysseus Klaw (Andy Serkis' South African accent was AMAZING!!!!) For those that don't know, Klaw is a Black Panther villain so he obviously ties in to the upcoming film (he also gets his arm cut off by Ultron which will come into play with his character!)

The Avengers arrive and try to stop Ultron and the Maximoff Twins (who have joined forces with Ultron, after blaming Tony Starks weapons for their parents death years before) but Wanda uses her powers to get into their minds. Cap has a vision of his past life with Agent Carter, Thor has a vision that is obviously a set up for Ragnarok, and Black Widow has a vision of her past and how she was trained to become an assassin.

Black Widow was the character I think developed the most, we got to see a bit of her past and hear her story and it made you sympathize with her!

Wanda gets into Hulks mind and makes him go absolutely crazy destroying most of Johannesburg! Iron Man dons his Hulkbuster armor and thus begins the most epic battle in the entire movie!!!! I loved that my country got some love too XD

The Avengers go into hiding after major public scrutiny. They end up staying at Hawkeyes farm house with his wife (whos pregnant) and his two kids, much to the surprise of the rest of the team (besides Widow, who obviously knew of Hawkeyes other life)

Thor seems fixated over his vision and leaves to go find out more about it (the whole thing with the magical pools seemed  bit random)

There is a great scene with Widow and Banner (who have a relationship) where they both explain they can't have children. it ws really a great scene character development wise (I'm still not sold on the whole Hulk and Black Widow relationship)

Hawkeye is another character with great character development!! He was definitely redeemed from hardly being in the first film and he has some of the best lines of the whole film!!

In Korea, Ultron uses Loki's sceptre to get  Dr Banner's friend, Helen Cho to create a new body for him using her tissue technology, vibranium and the infinity gem. Wanda is able to read Ultron's mind and is horrified to see his plans involve extinction of the human race and they turn on him. Ultron leaves with his new "body" and is tracked down by Widow, Cap and Hawkeye. They are able to retrieve the body but Ultron kidnaps Widow (this is something I had a problem with as I hate the whole "damsel in distress" storyline)

Stark uploads J.A.R.V.I.S (who had been hiding in the internet) into the synthetic body while Thor arrives and activated the body using his hammer. He names him Vison. Now I was very dissapointed with the Vision in this film. He was there for such a short time and didn't really have time to shine. One of the best scenes is were he hands Thor his hammer XD now with the help of The Vision, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, Nick Fury convinces the Avengers to stop Ultron!

Ultron has built a machine which will lift the city of Sokovia into the sky and drop it down into the earth causing massive destruction.
He deploys an army of evil robots and the Avengers show up to fight them. Banner rescues Widow and she awakens the Hulk to help them in the battle! They evacuate all the civilians with the help of SHIELD but Quicksilver is killed saving Hawkeye from a rain of bullets.

This is something I reaaaallly disliked about the film!! I felt Quicksilver was wasted, and was there only to motivate Wanda. I didn't even feel a connection with the character or got to know him so I wasn't even sad when he died. I loved the little pep talk Hawkeye gave Wanda!

Wanda leaves the machine and destroys Ultrons primary body, which alows one of the drones to activate the machine sending Sokovia plummeting to the Earth.

Hawkeye and Cap leave on a SHIELD carrier while Hulk saves Widow and leaves in a Quinjet, locking himself inside and headed for space! Vision saves Wanda, and Iron Man and Thor destroy the machine and in the process destroy the city before it reaches the Earth. Vision ends up confronting Ultron (who has used a drone as his body) and destroys him!

In the end the Avengers have a new headquarters, Hulk is still missing, Thor has left for Asgard, Stark and Hawkeye have retired form the team and Widow and Cap have assembled a new team consisting of Falcon,Vision, War Machine and Scarlet Witch (who has a snazzy new outfit XD).

While I really enjoyed this film at times it felt very crowded and rushed! Major disappointments were the little amount of Vison and the waste of Quicksilver as a character! I  really recommend the film tho and give it a 8/10 :) :)

I actually liked this film way more than the first film. Had more character development for the smaller characters and the villain was definitely better than the first (I actually don't care for Loki all that much, he is way too cliche and they have used him too many times). And Vision didn't need more time than he got in this film, he would have stolen too much of the show. And personally I like this this version of Quicksilver more than X-Men's (Evan Peters is annoying), and I do not feel his character was wasted. Idk, just my feelings, glad you enjoyed the movie though.
